Our room was well furnished and brand-new complete with a private bathroom and the condition, as example, great value compared to other hotels. There were coffee/tea making machines and a refrigerator.
Didn’t dislike anything about the property!

The food here is fantastic, and the location is perfect especially if you need to be close to hospitals. Just a stone's throw away is The Castle Hotel Restaurant, a great spot to relax and unwind. They offer a good selection of breakfast treats to choose from. 🍳

Convenient location close to public transport, the Zoo, and quieter streets with great eateries. Good selection of food options within a 10-15 minute walk. Enjoyed delicious meals paired with cold drinks.

During our recent stay at Mercure, we were impressed by the exceptional kindness and helpfulness of the staff. We had a medical emergency and one of the staff members, Ben, went above and beyond to pack our belongings and personally deliver them to the hospital. This act of kindness truly touched our hearts.
Despite some minor issues, such as the ongoing renovations and the occasional lack of cleanliness by the housekeeping staff, we found the overall value for money to be good. The restaurant service and food quality were excellent, and the Wi-Fi worked well.

It was a comfortable room.
I can see there has been some updating but more needs to be done. eg: peeling bathroom door, lounges in foyer are grubby & worn.
